Abstract: The subject of this research, symbolic structures, is considered one of the topics that has been reflected in the visual arts, as it is embedded in many ceramic themes throughout history. Therefore, the researchers titled their study The Effectiveness of Symbolic Structures in the Works of Contemporary Egyptian Ceramics, as symbolism represents the method through which the artist conveys an event or idea using means or tools that are employed within the artwork to construct a message with an organized system and technique that carries an artistic concept specific to the artistic discourse.
The research consists of four chapters: the first chapter includes the research problem, objective, and scope, as well as the definition of terms. The second chapter represents the theoretical framework of the research and comprises two sections: the first discusses the concept of symbolic structures, while the second addresses contemporary Egyptian ceramics, its emergence, and development, in addition to the indicators of the theoretical framework.
The third chapter includes the research population, sample, methodology, tool, and achievement of the research objective, whereas the fourth chapter contains the results and conclusions.
