Mathematics self-efficacy and skills among undergraduate students
Author(s): Anita Sehrawat
Abstract: The aim of this research is to assess the impact of mathematics self-efficacy among undergraduate students across various disciplines. A sample data of 185 students utilizing the Mathematics Self-Efficacy Scale were analyzed. The findings reveal that students not only exhibit superior mathematical abilities but also possess a stronger belief in their capacity to excel in college-level mathematics courses. This study's outcomes imply that future pedagogical approaches should be tailored specifically for students in developmental courses, focusing on enhancing both mathematical skills and self-awareness of their improved capabilities. Instructional strategies aimed at boosting efficacy should be evaluated for their effectiveness, thus enhancing the educational experience for all students.
