Uses of concept mapping in science learning
Author(s): Jaanvi J Mhatre and Sangeeta Gupta
Abstract: This study explores
the efficacy of concept maps as a teaching tool in general science education.
Through a quasi-experimental design, the pre and post study scores of Class
Ninth students using an achievement test were analyzed. Our findings indicate
that concept mapping significantly enhances science learning outcomes compared
to traditional teaching methods. Furthermore, the advent of online tools has
made it possible to create customized concept and mind maps, offering a
promising approach to personalized learning.
