Author(s): Kashi Nath Pandey

Abstract: Urbanization and academic pressure have drastically increased stress, depression, and anxiety among adolescents, particularly males, in metro cities of India. Yoga, a traditional mind-body practice, has been increasingly recognized as a therapeutic intervention promoting psychological adjustment and resilience. This paper critically examines yoga as a mediating factor for reducing stress, depression, and anxiety, and enhancing adjustment in male adolescents in Indian metro cities. This paper shows how yoga can help improve mental health by putting together recent study findings and suggesting a way to include it in wellness programs for adolescents
