Author(s): Meghraj V Chude and Jyoti Kailas Mali
Abstract: This study assessed health awareness, behaviors, and healthcare access among 385 residents of Wade Village, District. Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India. The findings revealed a younger population with reactive health check-up habits, significant mental health concerns, and low medication adherence. Chronic diseases are rare, but hereditary conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes have been reported. Oral health was poor, and physical activity levels were moderate. Local hospital services were generally well rated but needed improvement. As this was a pioneering study, no prior data were available for comparison for the study area. The results highlight the need for targeted health interventions and improved access to healthcare. This study provides a foundational baseline for future health initiatives in Wade Village and similar communities.
