Abstract: To promote educated decision-making and a positive connection with food, it is imperative to recognise and manage food anxieties in a world where nutritional choices are becoming more complex.
The complex nature of food anxieties and the range of possible causes, such as physiological, psychological, and cultural aspects. We hope to develop a framework by classifying these issues that will enable the general public and nutrition industry professionals to better understand and manage the wide range of worries associated with food. It is crucial to look into the scientific underpinnings of these anxieties in order to debunk myths and advance evidence-based understanding.
eating anxieties are largely influenced by cultural and societal factors as people negotiate the complexities of cultural standards, physical ideals, and society expectations about eating choices. Developing solutions to support an additional inclusive and understanding eating environment might be aided by analysing the ways in which these elements connect with personal anxieties.
The complex relationship among mental health and dietary practices, psychological components of food fears-such as the fear of gaining weight, problems with body image, and disordered eating patterns-are examined. In order to create effective approaches that address the underlying reasons of food worries, it is essential to comprehend the psychological and emotional components of these concerns.
