Abstract: The transition from industrial growth to sustainability has emerged as a critical concern in the twenty-first century, particularly as nations seek to balance economic progress with environmental stewardship. Green manufacturing, which emphasizes resource efficiency, waste minimization, clean energy usage, and eco-friendly technologies, plays a pivotal role in achieving this balance. Traditional industrial growth models, often driven by rapid urbanization and high production demands, have led to excessive energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and resource depletion. In contrast, green manufacturing offers a paradigm shift by integrating sustainable practices into production processes, supply chains, and product design. This approach not only reduces the environmental footprint of industries but also enhances competitiveness through innovation, cost efficiency, and compliance with global sustainability standards. Moreover, governments, policymakers, and international organizations are encouraging industries to adopt green technologies through regulations, incentives, and sustainability frameworks. The integration of digital technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and automation further enhances green manufacturing by enabling energy optimization and real-time monitoring of environmental impacts. While challenges such as high initial investment, technological gaps, and lack of awareness remain, the long-term benefits of green manufacturing—such as improved brand reputation, resilience, and contribution to sustainable development goals—outweigh the constraints. Thus, green manufacturing is not merely an option but a necessity for ensuring inclusive industrial growth and ecological sustainability in the global economy.
