Challenges of learning through smart phones

Abstract: Education and training is the process by which students learn in various ways. Mobile learning, or "M-Learning", offers modern ways to support learning process through mobile devices, such as handheld and tablet computers, MP3 players, smart phones and mobile phones. This article focuses on the concept of mobile learning for teaching learning purposes. The impact of mobile or Smartphone in our life is immense. The paper is to describe the meaning, value, benefits, challenges and progress to support teaching and learning. Mobile learning is the ability to obtain or provide educational content on personal pocket devices such as PDAs, Smart phones and mobile phones. The mobile user experience is different from the desktop computer experience and the face-to-face experience, however mobile learning can be used to support both as well as standing alone.
