Abstract: Every author is influenced by its surroundings and every author shapes the surroundings in which he or she writes. Toni Morrison is no exception to this. There are many shaping influences which have shaped her into a fabulous author which we have today. The present study delves deep into those shaping influences which helped her in embarking and making an indelible mark in her journey to be one the greatest writers of modern epoch.
